Some key dates
Adopting in 1954 the poetic name "lou flòc de nouste" (translated from Occitan as "the bouquet of flowers from home") for its alcohol with evocative notes of violet, rose and plum, a Gers winemaker made his mark a turning point in the history of this alcohol which dates from the 16th century.
However, it was only in 1976, with the formation of a union by the producers , that the name Floc de Gascogne was chosen to market this product, considered more attractive to the market.
Floc de Gascogne received the appellation d'origine contrôlée (AOC) by decree of the French State on November 27, 1990.
November 9, 2022: Inauguration of Maison Gascogne Armagnac around 3 products from the vineyard: Côtes de Gascogne, Armagnac and Floc de Gascogne.
Le Floc de Gascogne is leaving rue des Vignerons to move into this new building which offers a place open to the public to discover these 3 wine products.
